She uses a variety of techniques derived from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, and narrative therapy. Through the therapeutic process, Shannon assists clients with converting negative, destructive, or counterproductive thought processes and behaviors into more positive and beneficial ones. She also works with clients on developing healthier coping skills that may be used across a spectrum of issues.
